Is your bao strong enough?

Posted by dandycandy on July 21, 2006

This is increasingly becoming a video blog, but I’m on a roll posting videos I find interesting, and this is a really cool one, and it pertains to video games (I’m a PIU) fan, so allow me to show you here.

A great game, that PIU is.

Umm, Melty Blood pt. 2

Posted by dandycandy on July 17, 2006

I’m becoming rather obsessed with Melty Blood.  My husband and I are thinking of starting a company dedicated to holding tournaments for various popular and cult video games, Melty Blood included.  Next year, we’re going to hold a huge tourney for the game, and I’ll give the details as soon as they becoming available.  For now, here’s a tournament video from Japan.

Akiha is the sh*t, lemme tell you.  Do any of you think this is a good idea?  Would anyone like to see something like this.  I’d love your thoughts.

Demashitta! Power Puff Girls Z! (Why, Japan, Why?)

Posted by dandycandy on July 13, 2006

I just finished watching the first episode of PowerPuff girls Z, and while I do like a good magical girl anime, I didn’t really like this anime.  Well, I liked it, but I’m a huge fan of the original, and while I knew a lot of American aspects of the show would get lost in translation, I didn’t really catch the essence of the original series.  I mean, Professor X already has a kid…and a dog!  I mean, the whole point of creating the girls was because he was trying to create the perfect girls…and blah, blah, blah.  These girls already exist.  I guess the Japanese animators were trying to make something for Japanese audiences while making up their own twists on things, but since I am a hardcore fan of the original, I guess I’m just a bit jaded.  But still, the series is pretty good if you really aren’t as far gone into the series as I am, or if you really like mindless Japanese mahou shoujo fun.

Azumanga Daioh…in Korean

Posted by dandycandy on July 13, 2006

It sounds really weird (I love the original version) but at the same time, it’s calm and pretty.  What do all of you think?

I’m the n-chan, b*tch!

Posted by dandycandy on July 13, 2006

Hello again, I bring all of you good tidings and apologizes.  It’s been a weird week.  Being the newlywed that I am, I can’t get on the computer as much because I am a newlywed…I won’t get into details.  But I’d like to start off by posting a video I wanted to post last week but didn’t get a chance to, and while it’s not quite anime-related, it’s still pretty damn fully.

Spread the word as to who this mofo is…

I’ll have more later on today.  But enjoy this for now.

2000 hits! Thank you!

Posted by dandycandy on July 7, 2006

I wasn’t going to post anymore today, but I thought I’d simply have this video on here in honor of 2000 hits.

It’s a ton of Japanese/Korean (BoA, anyone) superstar video clips set to “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland.  I liked it.  Check it out!

For all you players out there who want to learn…

…the closing dance for the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, here:

three speeds – slow (eerie), medium (annoying), regular (the song we love)

I know I said I wouldn’t post anything on Kyon and the gang, but I’m trying to learn the dance myself, and I found this video very helpful.
